January: ICYMI

Here is a list of some things I was excited about that happened in January, in case you missed it…

There was a lot of time spent inside, thus a lot of time spent snuggling with the cat.

—4th Place—

‘Still Be You’ was voted 4th place in Louder Than The Music’s Single Awards for 2021. I was especially excited about this because I didn’t even vote, and I never harassed anybody to vote for me. So, thank you to all who did! It was such a pleasant surprise for me! Read more about it here.

—En Français—

A Christian radio station in France is playing my song, ‘Joy’. They even asked me to make a little clip where I say my name and tell people what radio station they’re listening to. I had fun recording it because I got to access the French part of my brain. (There are only two brain cells in the French part of my brain, and they were formed in the one French class I took when I was in second grade. Those two brain cells worked really hard to pronounce Lyon-Dauphine correctly.)

—A Whole Podcast—

Along the same theme of my-music-showing-up-fun-places: I am very excited that my song, ‘Balance’ is being used as the musical backdrop for the podcast, ‘The Whole Person Revolution’. The company that Matt works for puts out this podcast, and it is hosted by his boss, Anne Snyder, who I adore.

(Side note: I adore the whole company that Matt works for, and I think you will too. If you haven't become familiar with it yet, go check out Comment Magazine. Read a couple articles, and if you like it, subscribe! I am always so excited when a new issue comes out, and each one provides hours of reading material and lots to ponder.)

You can listen to the podcast here.

—Going on Tour—

I am going to hit the road with a fellow artist, Katy Kinard, in the months of March and April, for the Artistry and Honesty Tour. Want us to come to your city? Good news: we are still booking dates! Contact Darren Anderson at beloudpromotions@gmail.com to set it up!

—Thanks for Listening—

Thank you so much for listening to my music!

I am very happy with how my album, ‘Honesty’, has been received in its first few months of life. The title track, ‘Honesty’, hit 20,000 streams on Spotify a few weeks ago, and ‘Still Be You’ is pushing 35,000 streams.

Don’t forget that I have merch you can buy: Honesty beanies and Honesty CDs, plus merch from my first two projects: Every Story Has an Author and I Have Peace.
